Bani Saad Village Taif

Haleema Sadiya was that Fortunate Lady from the Tribe of Bani Saad who was engaged as the Wet Nurse of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

 Souk Okaz Taif

Believed to be lasted since 760 AD, was Famous Venue for Annual Gathering to discuss commercial, political and social Issues as well as for the competitive recitation of poetry and prose. Located in the heart of the city, it is characterized by its traditional architecture, and its buildings house shops full of souvenirs, gold, silver, spices and perfumes. Bedouin Traders used to brought on Camels / Donkeys the rugs, camel-hair tents, sheepskins, pottery, tools, jewelry, perfumes, and spices to sale to the locals.

 Shubra Palace Taif

Shubra Palace is a beautifully restored traditional house which doubles as the city museum. It was originally built around the turn of the century and used as a residence by a number of Saudi kings.

 Ummait Dam Taif

 Is a witness to the old civilizations was built by Abdullah Ibrahim in 680 AD Over 13 centuries old, it was constructed without any cement. On the rare occasions it has water in it and according to the locals, the wall doesn't leak.

Addas Mosque Taif

In 619 AD Prophet (PBUH) visited Taif with the hope of converting Banu Thaqif Tribe to Islam but they opposed the Message of Allah. However seeing him distress, a Slave name Addas kindly offered the Prophet a Plate of Grapes and after a brief Conversation he adopted Islam. A small mosque in the area bears his name and still stands today.

 Abdullah Ibn Abbas Mosque and Mathana Graveyard Taif

Abdullah Ibn Abbas Mosque in Mathana is the oldest of those built during the first century of Islam. The mosque has been rebuilt several times, the last of which was during the Ottoman Empire. Its ruins are now an archaeological site. A graveyard near the mosque contains the remains of the twelve martyrs of the Prophets campaign in 630 AD.
